Planning, building control drawings
Planning permission
Some projects need planning permission from your local council. Many smaller projects, such as some single storey extensions, loft conversions, porches and garden buildings, can be built under permitted development instead, without a full planning application. It depends on your property and what you’re building.
Building control
Most building work, such as extensions, loft and garage conversions, and removing load-bearing walls, needs Building Regulations approval through Building Control, to make sure it’s safe and built properly.
Drawings calculations
You’ll usually need an architect or designer to produce drawings, and a structural engineer to provide calculations for beams, foundations and other structural work.
We can arrange these for you or recommend trusted professionals we work with. Not sure what your project needs? Just ask and we’ll point you in the right direction.
